Taking pain relievers
Ice is a good way to relieve back pain caused by carrying around all that extra baby weight. Lean against an ice pack for up to 20 minutes at a time, several times a day. After about 2 or 3 days, switch to a heating pad on the low setting.
You can also take the pressure off your back by doing back strengthening exercises and sleeping on your side with a pillow tucked between your knees.
