There's no guarantee you'll have problems, but carrying twins puts you at increased risk for several pregnancy complications. Moms of twins are more likely to develop gestational diabetes, anemia, and preeclampsia and to have premature babies and low birth weight babies. Regular doctor visits can catch problems early.
