Can facial surgery be done at the same time as a chemical peel? Robert Kotler, MD
We know that to reduce the risk of poor healing or scarring or skin breakdown, that it's generally not wise to operate, meaning do a face lift and slide the skin around and at the same time, assault the outer part of the skin with a chemical or a laser. It just is too much for the skin. So, the favored approach is to just do the procedures separately, usually 3 to 4 months apart. The order often is optional or a matter of choice for the patient, chemical first, or laser first, surgery later, or visa versa. Don't do them at the same time, because the rule is don't take chances. latest videos on Healthy Beauty
