What can I expect if I take benzodiazepines for bipolar disorder mania?

ANSWER

You’ll probably take these for a brief time, up to 2 weeks or so, with other mood-stabilizing drugs. These medicines act quickly and bring on a sense of calmness. They can sometimes cause lightheadedness, slurred speech, or unsteadiness.
