How can I ease my restless legs syndrome symptoms to get a good night sleep?

ANSWER

  • Cut down on caffeine.
  • Cut down on alcohol.
  • Stop smoking, or at least cut back.
  • Go to bed and get up at the same time each day, including weekends.
  • Exercise regularly, but moderately (heavy exercise can make symptoms worse).
  • Apply heat or ice, or soak in a hot bath.
