Oral Cancer (Mouth Cancer) Directory
Oral cancer can develop in any part of the mouth, including on the lips, tongue, cheeks, floor of the mouth, roof of the mouth, sinuses, and throat. Risk factors for oral cancer include smoking or spit (chewing) tobacco and excessive use of alcohol. Oral cancer can be life threatening if not diagnosed and treated early. It is important to check regularly for symptoms of oral cancer, such as a growth or sore in the mouth that does not go away. If you see something that looks suspicious, make an appointment with a dentist as soon as possible.
