A nationally recognized authority on operating room management, Claire Mailhot, RN, MS, EdD, FAAN, is director of surgical program developments at Stanford University Hospital. Mailhot's 25-year career encompasses a wide variety of both clinical and administrative positions, giving her a broad perspective on all aspects of the surgical experience.
Widely published, Mailhot is currently editor in chief of Advanced Training for Operating Room Clinical Specialties and Management Training for Today's OR and co-author of Surgery: A Patient's Guide From Diagnosis to Recovery. A frequent speaker at national industry forums, Mailhot has served on the advisory boards of numerous health care organizations and publications. Mailhot is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and the recipient of the Certificate of Excellence from the Health Services Communication Association.
