Jo-Ann Strangis

Senior Vice President, Medscape Editorial & Content

Jo-Ann Strangis is Senior Vice President of Editorial, Member Marketing and Audience for Medscape, responsible for all medical news, independent features and expert faculty commentary, as well as reference content available through the company’s websites and mobile apps.

Ms. Strangis also oversees Medscape’s Spanish, Portuguese, French and German language editions; Consult, an online community where physicians ask and answer clinical questions, as well as discuss clinical challenges; and Physician Business Academy, an educational platform to equip physicians with the skills they need to better manage their medical practices.

An 19-year veteran of the organization, Ms. Strangis and her team share a deep commitment and passion for engaging physicians and healthcare professionals worldwide with cutting-edge, engaging, and professionally vital content, tools and services.

Prior to joining WebMD, Ms. Strangis spent more than ten years at Little, Brown Publishers in Boston and Cambridge University Press in New York City, managing medical content and digital tools in a variety of different roles, including editor, product marketing and sales representative.

Ms. Strangis holds a BA from the University of Southern California School of Journalism in Los Angeles.
