WebMD Names David J. Schlanger as CEO

NEW YORK, Aug. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- WebMD Health Corp. (NASDAQ: WBMD), the leading source of health information, today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed David J. Schlanger as Chief Executive Officer of WebMD and Steven L. Zatz, M.D. as its President. Mr. Schlangerhas served as Interim CEO since May 2013 and in other senior roles at WebMD and its predecessor companies for more than ten years prior to that time. Dr. Zatz has been with WebMD and its predecessor companies for more than ten years, most recently as Executive Vice President, Professional Services of WebMD, where he was responsible for the Company's professional websites and services including its flagship site for healthcare professionals, Medscape.com.
