WebMD Names Adam Grossberg as Chief Communications Officer

NEW YORK, Oct. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- WebMD Health Corp. (Nasdaq: WBMD), the leading source of health information, today announced that Adam Grossberg has been named Chief Communications Officer.  In this newly created role, Grossberg will lead the management of the Company's brand, reputation and strategic communications activities.  He will report to WebMD Chief Executive Officer David Schlanger.

Grossberg joins WebMD from Bausch + Lomb where as Vice President of Global Communications his responsibilities included public and community relations, employee communications, corporate branding, social media, charitable giving, and corporate meetings and events.

Earlier in his career, Grossberg held a variety of senior communications roles at some of the best-known media and technology companies, including Yahoo, Inc., where he had responsibility for all internal and external communications for the company's North American Advertising, Publishing and Media businesses as well as global responsibility for its Search Alliancewith Microsoft, EMI Group, Lucent Technologies' Bell Labs and Intel Corporation.
