Daniel Zingale

Political strategist and civil-rights advocate Daniel Zingale was named executive director of AIDS Action, the nation's foremost AIDS advocacy organization, in 1996. AIDS Action is a network of 3200 community-based organizations, calling itself "the national voice on AIDS." Prior to joining AIDS Action, Zingale served as political director of the Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest lesbian-and-gay political organization. From 1991 to 1993 he served as director of government relations for the American Psychological Association. Zingale has a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a master's degree in public administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government.
