What exercises can I do if I have diabetes?

ANSWER

Do what you like.

Walking, jogging, bicycling, and swimming are good choices. A great exercise is strength training with weights, resistance bands, or your own body. You may need to avoid lifting heavy weights if you have damaged blood vessels in your eyes, or if you have cataracts or glaucoma. If you have diabetic nerve damage in your feet, take care not to put too much pressure on them. Talk to your doctor first.
