With diabetes, dinner doesn't have to be a chore or a bore. Take the guilt and guesswork out of supper with these quick and easy dinner tips.

Keep your kitchen stocked with everything you need to make a quick meal.

Things like olive oil, low sodium broths, spices, and whole grains. To save time and prep, choose frozen chopped veggies instead of fresh ones. And use dried herbs instead of fresh herbs.

Remember the plate rule-- 50% veggies, 25% protein, and 25% grains and starches.

When it comes to dessert, choose fruit.

And don't forget, move your body after dinner.

When it comes to meals, cut back on time and dishes by using the one pan approach.

Simply add a lean protein to a rainbow of veggies, toss in some olive oil, herbs and spices, and you're on your way.

Wham, bam, thank you, pan.

You can even use a slow cooker to save time. Throw some beans, chopped up veggies, and a protein inside. Top them with a no sugar tomato sauce, onions, and some low sodium broth. And fresh herbs, turn that bad boy to low, and you'll come home to a yummy stew.

Dine and unwind.

Dinner in a flash. Now what to do with all this extra time? How about a walk.
