Who should not take Cytosar-U Solution, Reconstituted (Recon Soln)?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:


  • infection caused by bacteria
  • opportunistic fungal infection
  • infection caused by a protozoa organism
  • decreased function of bone marrow
  • anemia
  • decreased blood platelets
  • decreased white blood cells
  • low level of granulocytes in the blood
  • peripheral neuropathy
  • disease of the muscle of the heart with enlargement
  • fluid in the lungs
  • acute respiratory distress syndrome
  • painful
  • red or swollen mouth
  • stomach or intestinal ulcer
  • gangrene of intestine caused by blood supply problem
  • inflamed colon and small intestine with some tissue death
  • liver problems
  • acute inflammation of the pancreas
  • Coma
  • throwing up
  • diarrhea
  • high amount of uric acid in the blood
  • pregnancy
  • a mother who is producing milk and breastfeeding
  • kidney disease with likely reduction in kidney function
  • opportunistic viral infection
