If you are PREGNANT

- Precaution: LIMITED DATA SUGGEST LOW LEVELS EXCRETED RESULTING IN NO INFANT ADV EFFECTS
If you are an adult over 60
- management or monitoring precaution: Neuro/Psych-Elderly observed to experience more sedation; consider fall risk. Cardiovascular-Hypotensive effects which may require discontinuation or drug dosage adjustment. Endocrine-Elderly are at increased risk for developing SIADH and hyponatremia from antidepressants.
Giving Trazodone HCL to a child under 12
- Severe Precaution: Possible increased suicidal ideation and attempt with underlying major depression. Reports of anxiety, irritability, hostility, aggressiveness, impulsivity, akathisia (psychomotor restlessness) and other behavioral changes. Limited safety data available.
