Treprostinil/Strong CYP2C8 Inhibitors Interactions

How the interaction occurs:

Your medicine may slow down how quickly your liver processes treprostinil.

What might happen:

The amount of treprostinil in your blood may increase and cause more side effects than expected.

What you should do about this interaction:

Let your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together or, if you have not started treprostinil yet, that you have been taking your other medicine for a while. Your doctor may start treprostinil at a lower dosage and increase your dose more slowing. If you have been on treprostinil and are adding another medicine to it, your doctor may change your treprostinil. Let your doctor know if you have severe headache, nausea, diarrhea, or low blood pressure.Your healthcare professionals may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
