    FDB Only When Necessary: NO FDA CAT;ART PREG REGISTRY DATA SHOW NO INCREASED RISK FOR MAJOR BIRTH DEFECTS

    Nursing:

    Absolute Contraindication: AVOID BREASTFEEDING IN HIV POSITIVE WOMEN PER CDC; NOT REC IN HEP B PATIENTS

    Giving Epivir Solution to a child under 12:

    management or monitoring precaution: Safety and efficacy not established in pediatrics age less than 3 months.

    management or monitoring precaution: Increased risk of pancreatitis with prior antiretroviral nucleoside exposure and other risk factors. Tablet dose form preferred.
