If you are PREGNANT
- FDB Only When Necessary: RISK OF HYPOGLYCEMIA IN NEONATE IF USED NEAR DELIVERY
If you are NURSING
- Absolute Contraindication: NOT RECOMMEND;EXCRETED IN RATS; POSSIBILITY OF HYPOGLYCEMIA IN NURSING INFANT
If you are an adult over 60
- management or monitoring precaution: Renal-Decreased renal function increases risk of severe and prolonged hypoglycemia. Initiate at low dose, titrate slowly.
Giving Glimepiride to a child under 12
- Severe Precaution: Not recommended in pediatrics. Risk of hypoglycemia and weight gain.
