Who should not take Bupropion HCl SR?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- spread of cancer to the brain
- tumor of the brain or spinal cord
- symptoms from alcohol withdrawal
- manic-depression
- psychotic disorder
- suicidal thoughts
- alcohol use disorder
- dependence on opioid-type drugs
- anorexia nervosa
- bulimia
- a low seizure threshold
- closed angle glaucoma
- high blood pressure
- a heart attack
- severe liver disease
- decreased kidney function
- seizures
- weight loss
- seizure caused by sudden withdrawal of benzodiazepine
- stimulant drug dependence
- sedative drug dependence
- risk of angle-closure glaucoma due to narrow angle of anterior chamber of eye
- Child-Pugh class A liver impairment
- Child-Pugh class B liver impairment
- Child-Pugh class C liver impairment
