  • management or monitoring precaution: General- Caution with renal and cardiovascular disease. Adverse reactions (neuropsychiatric, systemic, cardiac) may be more severe. Neuro/Psych-Cases of encepalopathy have been observed in patients, usually elderly. Renal-Reduce dose 25% for CrCL<51 mL/min and 50% for CrCL<31 mL/min. or less

  • Severe Precaution: Growth inhibition reported in combination with ribavirin. Safety and efficacy not established in pediatrics age < 3 years.
