- management or monitoring precaution: Cardiovascular-May cause bradycardia. Elderly may be more susceptible to QT prolongation. Caution with concomitant bradycardia, electrolyte disturbance or underlying cardiac arrhythmia. Hepatic-Rare risk of fatal hepatotoxicity. Monitor hepatic function. Vision-Use caution in the elderly with vision impairment due to risk for bilateral visual field impairment.

- Severe Precaution: Potential for decreased bone formation. No safety and efficacy established for age < 12 months.
