Who should not take Iclusig?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:

Conditions:

  • anemia
  • decreased blood platelets
  • decreased neutrophils a type of white blood cell
  • high blood pressure
  • heart attack
  • acute blood clot in the heart
  • coronary artery disease
  • slow heartbeat
  • supraventricular cardiac arrhythmia
  • chronic heart failure
  • suddenly serious symptoms of heart failure
  • blood clot in the brain
  • stroke
  • balloon-like swelling in the wall of an artery
  • obstruction of a blood vessel by a blood clot
  • blood clot in an artery
  • peripheral vascular disease
  • blood clot formation in veins
  • bleeding
  • blockage or closing off of blood vessels
  • hepatitis caused by drugs
  • recent operation
  • visible water retention
  • abnormal liver function tests
  • Impaired Wound Healing
  • pregnancy
  • a mother who is producing milk and breastfeeding
  • a rupture in the wall of the stomach or intestine
  • reactivation of hepatitis B infection
  • Pancreatitis
  • Brain-Capillary Leak Syndrome
  • dissection of artery
