If you are an adult over 60
- management or monitoring precaution: Hepatic-Increased incidence of hepatic steatosis reported. Measure liver-related tests (ALT and AST, at a minimum) prior to each increase in dose or monthly, whichever occurs first for the first year. Contraindicated in patients with moderate or severe hepatic impairment, or active liver disease, including unexplained persistent elevations of serum transaminases. Cardiovascular-Higher rate of hypertension and peripheral edema.
