How the interaction occurs:

Your medicine may speed up how quickly your liver processes selpercatinib.Selpercatinib may affect your heart's rhythm. Other drugs can have the same effect.

What might happen:

Your blood levels of selpercatinib may decrease. Selpercatinib may not work as well.If you take selpercatinib with apalutamide, efavirenz, ivosidenib, or thioridazine, you may have a higher risk of developing an irregular heart beat, which may be life-threatening.

What you should do about this interaction:

Let your healthcare professional (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) know that you are taking these medicines together. Your doctor may want to change or adjust the dose of one of your medicines.Let your doctor know right away if you notice an irregular heart beat, or have dizziness or fainting episodes.Your healthcare professionals (e.g. doctor or pharmacist) may already be aware of this interaction and may be monitoring you for it. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicine before checking with them first.
