Who should not take Mifepristone?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
Conditions:
- a sudden decrease in adrenal gland function
- decreased function of the adrenal gland
- porphyria cutanea tarda
- hepatic porphyria
- hereditary liver metabolism disorder
- erythropoietic protoporphyria
- variegate porphyria
- increased risk of bleeding due to clotting disorder
- high levels of white blood cells
- abortion complicated by an infection
- pneumonia with a fungus called Pneumocystis jirovecii
- cancer in the lining of the uterus
- a sudden decrease in adrenal gland function
- low amount of potassium in the blood
- increased risk of bleeding due to clotting disorder
- an increased risk of bleeding
- abnormal EKG with QT changes from birth
- overgrowth of the uterine lining
- pregnancy
