Who should not take Compazine?

The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:

  • increased prolactin in the blood
  • low amount of magnesium in the blood
  • low amount of calcium in the blood
  • low amount of potassium in the blood
  • overweight
  • anemia
  • decreased blood platelets
  • decreased white blood cells
  • decreased neutrophils a type of white blood cell
  • alcoholism
  • parkinson symptoms
  • abnormal movements of face
  • muscles
  • and tongue
  • extrapyramidal reaction
  • neuroleptic malignant syndrome
  • increased pressure in eyes
  • heart attack
  • angina
  • disease of inadequate blood flow to the heart muscle
  • very rapid heartbeat - torsades de pointes
  • slow heartbeat
  • prolonged QT interval on EKG
  • abnormal heart rhythm
  • chronic heart failure
  • abnormal EKG with QT changes from birth
  • blood pressure drop upon standing
  • chronic lung or breathing passage problem
  • liver problems
  • enlarged prostate with urination problem
  • Coma
  • stupor
  • seizures
  • weight gain
  • cannot empty bladder
  • high blood sugar
  • Susceptible to Breathing Fluid Into Lungs
  • pregnancy
  • Metabolic Syndrome X
  • Dementia in an Elderly Person
  • Insecticide Poisoning due to Organophosphate Ingredient
