What should I Know Regarding Pregnancy, Nursing and Administering Mycophenolate Mofetil to Children or the Elderly?
If you are PREGNANT
- Known or Theoretical Risk:
If you are NURSING
- Absolute Contraindication: CONTRAINDICATED PER BRIGGS, INSUFFICIENT DATA AVAILABLE
If you are an adult over 60
- management or monitoring precaution: General-Geriatrics may be at increased risk for tissue invasive CMV disease. Gastrointestinal-Possible increased risk for GI hemorrhage. Pulmonary-Possible increased risk for pulmonary edema.
Giving Mycophenolate Mofetil to a child under 12
- management or monitoring precaution: Increased rate of infection, leukopenia, anemia. Rare risk of lymphoproliferative disease reported possibly related to overall immunosuppression.
