What should I Know Regarding Pregnancy, Nursing and Administering Taxol Concentrate to Children or the Elderly?

If you are PREGNANT

  • Not Recommended: BASED ON DRUG PHARMACOLOGY DEVELOPMENTAL TOXICITY IS POSSIBLE.

If you are NURSING

  • Absolute Contraindication: NOT RECOMMENDED, POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE ADVERSE EFFECTS IN INFANT

If you are an adult over 60

  • management or monitoring precaution: General-Increased risk of grade IV neutropenia. Cardiovascular-Increased incidence of CV events (bradycardia, hypotension, abnormal ECG). Neuro/Psych-Elderly experienced an increased incidence of peripheral neuropathy. Hepatic-Adjust dose as recommended for hepatic impairment.

Giving Taxol Concentrate to a child under 12

  • Severe Precaution: Rare reports of CNS toxicity. No safety and efficacy established in pediatrics.
