If you are an adult over 60
- management or monitoring precaution: General-Use not recommended for the following diarrhea diagnosis: severe infectious gastroenteritis, unknown cause. Cardiovascular-Avoid higher than recommended doses in elderly due to higher risk for Torsades de Pointes at these higher doses.
Giving Haloperidol to a child under 12
- Severe Precaution: Risk of CNS effects, somnolence, especially w/dehydration. Use extreme caution. No safety and efficacy established.
- Severe Precaution: Risk of respiratory depression and serious cardiac adverse reactions. Contraindicated age < 2 years.
