    An adult over 60:

    management or monitoring precaution: Renal-Substantial renal clearance results in higher risk for severe, prolonged hypoglycemia in the elderly. Use lower initial and maintenance dose or consider other safer hypoglycemic agents.

    Giving glyburide micronized to a child under 12:

    management or monitoring precaution: Safety and efficacy in pediatrics not established.
