RARE side effects

• diarrhea from an infection with Clostridium difficile bacteria
• a type of blood disorder where the red blood cells burst called hemolytic anemia
• large purple or brown skin blotches
• decreased blood platelets
• low levels of a type of white blood cell called neutrophils
• increased eosinophils in the blood
• pseudotumor cerebri, a condition with high fluid pressure in the brain
• a type of muscle paralysis due to blocked nerve function called neuromuscular blockade
• vision loss
• thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura, a type of blood disorder
• inflammation of the esophagus

• liver failure
• damage to the liver and inflammation
