  • management or monitoring precaution: Hepatic-Elderly patients are more likely to have decreased hepatic function thus potentially decreasing drug clearance. Cardiovascular-Assess patient for cardiovascular risk before initiating. Hypertensive effects may be more pronounced in the elderly and increase the risk for cardiovascular events in those with cardiovascular disease. Avoid use of the drug in any patient with a cerebrovascular syndrome.

Giving Zomig to a child under 12

  • management or monitoring precaution: No established efficacy in pediatric migraine study.
