- Precaution: USED IN NEONATES;POOR ORAL ABSORPTION; DIURESIS MAY INHIB LACTATION
If you are an adult over 60
- management or monitoring precaution: Cardiovascular-Elderly are more sensitive to hypotensive effects. Avoid over diuresis. Metabolic-Elderly are more sensitive to drug induced electrolyte loss. Monitor serum potassium and magnesium.
Giving Haloperidol to a child under 12
- Severe Precaution: Risk of renal calcification in premature infants or with chronic use.
