Who should not take Peg 3350/Electrolyte Oral?
The following conditions are contraindicated with this drug. Check with your physician if you have any of the following:
- a low seizure threshold
- a heart attack
- chronic heart failure
- abnormal EKG with QT changes from birth
- stomach muscle paralysis and decreased function
- a narrowing of the opening between the stomach and the small intestine
- severe ulcerative colitis
- toxic megacolon
- colon inflammation caused by toxic substance
- paralysis of the intestines
- blockage of the stomach or intestine
- a hole in the intestine
- decreased kidney function
- susceptible to breathing fluid into lungs
- high levels of potassium in the blood
- familial hyperkalemic periodic paralysis
- a high amount of chloride in the blood
- Thomsen disease
- complete heart block
- severe heart block
- stomach or intestinal ulcer
- severe renal impairment
- severe burn
- cessation of urine production
- hyporeninemic hypoaldosteronism
