If you are PREGNANT

  • Precaution: HIGH DOSES MAY CAUSE HYPERACTIVITY AND WAKEFULNESS IN INFANT.
  • Precaution: POSSIBILITY OF CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM DEPRESSION IN NURSING INFANT.
  • Absolute Contraindication: ADVERSE EFFECTS REPORTED IN NEONATES
  • Precaution: MAY INHIBIT LACTATION. AVOID CHRONIC USE.

If you are an adult over 60

  • Contraindication: Neuro/Psych-Generally avoid in the elderly due to risk for confusion, excitability or depression, and increased fall incidence.

Giving Ergo-Caff Pb Tablet to a child under 12

  • management or monitoring precaution: Adverse CNS effects (e.g. insomnia, restlessness, nervousness, and mild delirium) may be more severe in children.
  • Severe Precaution: Risk of long-term cognitive deficit if duration exceeds 3 hrs and age < 3 years.
  • management or monitoring precaution: Caution in infants with seizure disorder, cardiovascular disease, renal impairment, or hepatic impairment.
