- management or monitoring precaution: Cardiovascular-Limited usage data in the elderly. Contraindicated in severe hypertension, coronary insufficiency or peripheral vascular disease. Neuro/Psych-May worsen insomnia. Ocular-Contraindicated in glaucoma
Giving Haloperidol to a child under 12
- Severe Precaution: No safety and efficacy. Long acting form not recommended for short term therapy. Risks with underlying cardiac structural abnormalities. Pulmonary hypertension with extended use.
- Severe Precaution: Not recommended for children under 12 years. Safety has not been established.
