    Not Recommended: LIMITED DATA SUGGEST FETAL DEV TOX; CONSIDER MATERNAL BENEFIT VS. FETAL RISK

    Nursing:

    Precaution: NOT RECOMMENDED BY MFR; MONITOR INFANT FOR APNEA, CNS SEDATION

    An adult over 60:

    management or monitoring precaution: Neuro/Psych-Risk of confusion, over-sedation and fall risk. Long half-life benzodiazepines are generally not preferred in the elderly. Limit dose to 1.5mg/day. Pulmonary- Use caution in patient with compromised respiratory function.

    Giving Klonopin to a child under 12:

    management or monitoring precaution: Adverse effects unknown on physical and mental development with long term use.
