I have arthritis in my hands especially. While on this med. the pain was very much relieved. I took the med for one month and it worked well, but then my stomach begin to burn about 30 to 45 minutes after I had taken it also experienced nausea. Now that I have been off a couple days, the pain is returning. I guess I had forgotten how bad they could hurt.

I took Feldene for roughly 10 years; first prescribed for an "all-over" pain, undiagnosed, but presumed (by the quack dr.) to be issues with the sheaths over tendons. When the FDA(?) pulled it, I was prescribed something else and decided to just see how things go. Much to my surprise and relief, the debilitating charlie horse cramps all over my body (preventing me from driving, no less, and many other things such as dancing and exercising) quickly disappeared! Why couldn't any of my doctors figure out it was the Feldene causing the charlie horses? I suffer a lot of pain from spine stenosis, fibromayalgia, arthritis, and am on two other pain meds: Vicodine and Flexril. Now I'm afraid that these meds are actually causing more pain and damage than good.Read More Read Less

I used Piroxicsm for 3 years and I was able to manage my spinal stenosis and osteoarthrithis pain. Now I cannot get it and I am struggling to find something that doesn't make me sick and treats the pain.

This is the only medication that I have found to give me good pain relief, Now I am not able to obtain it (pulled from the market). Over the years I have tried several others and they irritate my stomach and do not provide the same level of pain relief. I would like to see this back on the market.

I've taken the generic, Piroxicam, for about 7 years for arthritis in my hands and feet. It is a miracle drug for me. It is unavailable from the mfg for about 2 months, and I'm taking mobic, which is nowhere nearly as effective. I can't function without feldene and wonder how I can ever quit taking it.

I began taking this drug Mar.2009 for low back pain which extended into my hips. I was told to take it for 5-7 days. After only 5 days the inflammation and pain were gone. Now I use this drug only as needed for approximately 5-7 days and I feel great. No side effects.

I have scoliosis and have had chronic back pain for about 4 years now, I just got a prescription for it and it didn't do anything for me. Definitely would not recommend to anyone with even mild back pain. It made me kinda dizzy though, so if you like feeling mildly intoxicated and being in pain, this is the drug for you.

I have used this medication on an as needed basis for 4 years and it does very well for my back and joint pain, but I have experienced stomach problems with it, usually after about 4 days of use.

I have bursitis in my hip and the doctors all but had written me off and said there was nothing they could do for my pain after the cortisone injections did not work. My orthopedic dr. prescribed this to me and it worked! I am not one to take narcotics and have taken many anti-inflammatory pills which did nothing. I was so glad this actually took my pain away. I was drowsy for a few days when I took it but did at night anyway. Now I can take it during the day and it doesnt make me drowsy at all. I can also get this at Walmart for $4. I have had no stomach problems from it, and my stomach is quite sensitive. I would recommend it to at least try it for your pain.Read More Read Less

Sorry, but I refuse to take this medication...this seems like a drug for a more serious joint issues. I can live with my minor pain from plantar faciitis, the side effects are not worth the risk.

I am in the US Army, I began having knee pain, the P.A gave me Motrin as this is the 1st step in pain management for the Army. The Motrin did not seem to work for my knee, I was switched to Piroxicam and have had muck better results and more effective pain management.

I have used Feldene for almost 17 years for ankle arthritis pain. Now I have developed microscopic colitis as a result of it and will have to switch meds. This drug has been the most effective for pain and inflammation for me and I'm sorry I have to go off of it!

I, have been taking this med, for the past 4 months, after taking Mobic, for almost a yr. without any relief. Now, I,have started having nose bleeds, and had surgey, on my arm and the Dr. had a really hard time in stoping the bleeding. I, have to test my blood sugar, and it takes 10 mintues to stop that little amount of blood. I, believe this bleeding is cause by this drug, and I want to try something else, or just stop taking it all toghter, and just hurt. Really, can't tell that it is working all that good, now that it has turned off cold. thanksRead More Read Less
