I was started on clomid 50mg due to having irregular periods causing difficulty concieving. I had been using ovulation tests prior to starting clomid and usually i was ovulating.. but not always. Also the length of my cycle would be 38days one month then 27 the next. So I took one round of clomid, I ovulated one week after the last dose of clomid and got pregnant that month! The only side effect I...

Conceived immediately on this med after trying unsuccessfully for five years. Twin boys, born 10 weeks early (but healthy). They are 35 YO now and wonderful. This drug definitely worked for me!

I was 40 when I was trying to get pregnant. I took several tests and everything checked out great, so my OBGYN finally prescribed me Clomid. I got pregnant the first try. Now my baby girl is almost 2. I'm considering another child at this point but it might be too late due to my age. We shall see what the doctor says. The side effects I had were more like depression symptoms. It made me very emotional and sad. It really only lasted a few days but is so worth taking if in the end you do get pregnant. Since I got married we tried to have a baby. We started clomid in march and in april we found out we were pregnant. After almost 5 yrs at that time of not getting pregnant, i got pregnant right away after first cycle with clomid, only took me a cycle of 50 mg in 5 days. I now have a beautiful baby and I am trying for my second (again with clomid)!!

I used this medication in 2007 with success after one treatment. This was post-12 months of "trying" on our own. In Feb. 2014, I was diagnosed with endometriosis. We began using Chlomid again in Nov. 2014 to try conceiving again. This is my sixth and last treatment before headed to a true fertility specialist. The medicine is effective but there are many steps that have to happen successfully to get pregnant. Sometimes the medicine is effective and other complications may be keeping you from a successful conception.Read More Read Less

I've had nothing but symptoms that mimic pregnancy and period. It also made me feel like crap and dizzy not to mention made me gain weight for it to not even work at that!

Hi there. My husband and I have been trying for 3 years for our second child. I was diagnosed with pcos last year. My period hasnt been normal since i had the merena iud. My gyno has done multiple tests, xrays on my fallopian tubes, no blockage found. This is my second round of clomid but im taking 100mg on days 2 to 6 of my period. I find out next week if its doing its job. My period last month was really weird but this month came on time which shocked me. Hoping for twins.

I use this drug because I have low-T and my last blood test confirmed that it has raised by levels back to the normal range. So I will continue to take it.

The emotional side effects such as uncontrollable and irrational anxiety were horrible. I took it for three cycles with no luck. I was on it because by 21 day blood work showed I was not ovulating,. This is secondary infertility for me.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over a year. I have had extremely irregular periods for over a year. There would be 2-3 months that would go by sometimes and I just wouldn't get a period. I took Provera to jump start my period, then started 50mg Clomid. I did ovulate and I got my period on my own, right on time. I just finished my second round of 50mg Clomid and ovulated this time as well. Period isn't due until June 29- so I'm really hoping for a positive test this time around!!! Or at least to get my period on track to possibly get pregnant without Clomid.Read More Read Less

I have been TTC for a little over a year and a half now. I took clomid 50mg the first month and was unsuccessful. I am now on month 2 with 50mg again and I am praying it works!! I've heard good things about this medication and I wish every one the best of luck as well as praying for myself.

After two years of trying to conceive my doctor prescribed this medication for me. Needless to say it worked, however, I ended up miscarrying and a week later I ended up in the ER with emergency surgery- I also had an ectopic pregnancy. So now I'm one tube less. I just wanted to post this to educate people to do their research and try alternative routes. I wish I had!

I took clomid for my first month 50mg.and did not get pregnant. Will start second round soon. I will say my progesterone went from a 6 to a 26, so that is great. The only side effects I had were a head ache and a swollen ankle for two days. The side effects do include edema in lower extremities. Other than that, no other problems. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I found out about 2 months ago that I'm either not ovulating or ovulating sporadically. I'm on my second round of Clomid and the ovulation tests came out positive! we are now waiting to see if I'm pregnant. maybe this is common knowledge to everyone else, but I wasn't told to use ovulation tests and I didn't think to. so it's possible that it worked the first time too
