I've been taking Flexeril daily for several years. I always take one before bed and only take the other two allowed during the day if my fibro and TMJ pain is really bad. It has helped curb my flareups, allows me to get the sleep I need, and is wonderful!

I was feeling like I lost my mind. I was extreamly forgetful. I felt like I had early onset Altheimers. By the end of the very first week, I was scaring my friend, who is a medical assistent, as she has known me for quite a while and had never heard me repeat things like I was doing, My grand father had altheimers and I was so frightened that is where I was headed at such an early age. Just started taking flexiril 10mg. at bedtime. Surprisingly, it is working very well for my back muscle spasms. I could hardly move before because I need spine surgery and all the muscles around the area that needs to be fused are very tight. I hope this medication works well for me because I can hardly bear my spinal bone pain.

Did not do anything for muscles spams. All it did was make me super drowsy and left my mouth very dry.

When I first took flexeril I slept most of the day, I prefer to take it at night, the one thing I noticed is that the shape of mine looks like a slice of bread now not like the ones here that I called the house pill b/c I could never remember the name. So you might want to check it out, other than that I am satisfied with this med

This medication seemingly has no effect on me besides withdrawal. It doesn't relax my muscles as all. It also doesn't make me drowsy or foggy minded. The only noticeable effect was the next morning my muscles were stiffer than they've ever been before. It didn't feel like knots but rather intense stiffness. I reluctantly tried a double dose a week later to see if it would have any effect but the result was the same: No effect that day and intense stiffness the next day, only worse thanks to the extra dosage.Read More Read Less

Works very well for muscle spasms in the lower back but makes it hard to concentrate on work the day after taking it.

I was given this when tizanidine became less effective. I found that muscel relaxers have been helpful in controling my Fibromyalgia Pain. When I first started it, it work really well, even through flare ups. Now its great on the day to day, but not so much during flare ups. When I started this med my doctor had me start with 1/2 tab (5mg) morning & afternoon and whole tab (10mg) at bedtime, as a comon side effect was thst its suppose to be a med to make you really drowsy, this was not a problem for me, so my doctor said to do 10mg three times a day.Read More Read Less

I was placed on this medication 5mg in 2010 after spine surgery/fusion due to herniated disc at the C3/C4. Fast forward to 2015, I have a new herniated disc, however, this medication along with Oxycodone 5/325 once per day, has been a lifesaver. I take one flexeril before 8 AM, 1 Oxy by 10AM, and one final Flexeril before 8 PM. This schedule keeps me from waking up in the morning feeling groggy. I have a very low tolerance for drugs, so the 5mg works great for me. I go through my day without feeling tired but I credit that to B12/B6 and coffee in the AM. My doctor said that I can take the Flexeril longterm because the side effects are small and rare unless you are over 60 and I am 43.Read More Read Less

I have had RLS for many years due to scoliosis, as this drug DOES work for me; the side effects are not worth the result. After just one dose I find that I'm more irritable and angry at everyone who looks my direction. I use it sparingly for this reason.

Had a total reverse shoulder and left elbow replacement 4 years ago and was on 30mg MS every 12 hrs for breakthrough pain and 25mcg od Fentanyl for round the clock pain management. I was slowly weaned off with good results. Recently the pain started coming back and I take 10mg Roxicodone without Tylenol with 10mg of Flexeril 3x daily and the results are great !!
