My grandfather was prescribed this medication (Coumadin) to assist in blood thinning due to a heart and thyroid condition. His primary doctor was aware that he was on an aspirin regiment and still prescribed this medicine, it caused his blood to thin out to much and he ended up internally bleeding to death. If you are going to take this medicine please ask your doctors about possible side effect...

hematoma emergency only now 13 year later resulting in TWO brain surgeries for Hematoma; coumadin taken for mechanical heart voalve 13 yrs ago. Now ordered off all blood thinner due to age (79); high risk for Hematomas and just put on 81 mg baby aspirin! I am scared to death of this extreme decrease coumadin to baby aspirin. What about heart and brain health noe...what do I expect???; how do I prevent further ????
