I had Graves Disease, received RAI, and ended up with little to no thyroid function. I have tried multiple thyroid replacement drugs and NONE of them works like Thyrolar 2. I felt like normal. I felt like I used to feel before Graves and before RAI. And now it's gone. I have even gone the compounding route, but it's not reliable. PLEASE bring it back, Forest Laboratories and FDA. 43 y/o mom...

I was on Thyrolar 2 for years in the '70S. After a life time of underactive thyroid symptoms, childhood obesity and lethargy, I was normal, able to lose weight, and full of energy. Then, in the early 80's I was told thyrolar was unavailable, and changed to Levothyroxine. For the past 28 years, I have battled my weight--always losing the fight-- find it difficult to focus, and never have enough energy. It has been hell---but the Dr is always ready to tell me "your numbers are normal!" BS! There is nothing NORMAL about this situation. What is the REAL reason it was taken off the market? Bsecause it WORK??? Read More Read Less

Thyrolar 2 was a life saver for me after 29 years of synthroid ups and downs, tests of my levels never the same. Especially after my drug company put me on generic. Weight gain, mental lows, much hair loss, way too many side effects. Please give us back some thing natural, my hair is falling out again along with the return of the other symtoms. thyrolar needs to be *refrigerated. There has been a repeated lack of compliance with the pharmacy about this kind *storage, resulting in loss of potency of medication. So blood levels are frequently low.
