READ THE WARNINGS on this drug! I have NEVER had an allergic reaction to any drug prior to my experience with this one. I took this for 7 days, While I was taking it, I did feel 'achy' but decided I was just over tired. Two days after I had finished the drug, I was at my daughters winter concert, got very bad chills, started shaking and spiked a fever. I was up all night very dizzy, next ... Show Full Comment

Took macrobid for UTI and after taking macrobid for 7 days I started itching on scalp and developed severe hives, some trouble breathing. Was put on prednisone which helped with itching/hives, but suffered for 1 week with severe hives/itching in different areas of body. Will not take this medication again.

BEWARE, BEWARE! My CNP in my prior OBGYN office prescribed this drug repeatedly over a 6 month period for UTI's; it became toxic in my system and I now have permanent restrictive lung disease and asthma. DO NOT TAKE THIS DRUG UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THE SIDE EFFECTS "SNEAK UP ON YOU" AND WHEN IT HITS (BECOMES TOXIC) IT CAN BE FATAL. READ UP MORE ON THIS DANGEROUS MEDICATION. M ... Show Full Comment
