    I was given this med for 16 days. I had nausea that was so bad landed me in ER. Also horrible leg muscle pain. After 7 days I quit. Crossing fingers it is gone

    I was prescribed a 5-day course of treatment with Macrobid after being diagnosed with an asymptomatic E. coli UTI. I had concerns because I often have nausea with antibiotics but the doctor said this was very specific to my UTI. I took meclizine for the nausea (non-drowsy motion sickness preventative

    This Rx is horrible with side effects. Bad headache nausea indigestion over all hurting

    Iâ??m on day 9 of a 14 day treatment for UTI. I have included a 15mg Prevacid daily to prevent nausea. Taking this med with food and the Prevacid has helped me to have fewer side effects. I cannot take Bactrim or Cipro because the bad side effects. Iâ??m glad Macrobid is working well. I do have the dry cough and some vaginal itching.     After about 4 days, I developed a fever of 105, had chills, was so cold I was shaking, and a tight chest. It was very hard to breathe. Had no idea it was the medicine. Was never warned this could happen! I even read the sheet the pharmacist gives you! My roommate was sick with a cold at the time, and I thought I just caught her cold on a worse level.
