I currently have a bacterial infection in my chest and spent a week on Clarithromycin 500mg with some resolution, but not much. I was prescribed Levofloxacin 500mg and after 1 dose I'm almost completely resolved (I was prescribed 7 doses/1 day). So far, I'm really happy with this medication. I have read that some folks have sore joints or cannot sleep, but I do not have either issue at thi ... Show Full Comment

I was on 500mg for 2 weeks, after 5 days my shoulder and arm started hurting. I thought I slept wrong. Pain got worse and my arm would catch and pain would travel to my wrist. I finally went to the orthopedic doctor and mentioned the Levaquin. He had said he heard that about the drug but didnâ??t think it was that. Said I had a frozen shoulder. I was taking Levofloxacin 500 mg. The therapy was supposed to last 7 days. I had to stop early due to extreme pain and limited range of movement in my shoulders, bicep area and legs. I have bi lateral knee pain that is making it difficult to walk. I've been out of work for almost 2 weeks. I'm off the meds 2 days now and the tendinitis has not eased up. I don't know why this drug i ... Show Full Comment

Prescription for 1 - 250mg tablet per day. within 3 days bronchitis is almost gone. However, sleep is almost non-existent and restlessness combined with irritability is VERY problematic. Also pain in joints and a numbness down the outside of both thighs. At other moments those numb areas are very painful. Hate to discontinue this early due to making the virus resistant to the med, but day 4 and I ... Show Full Comment

DO NOT TAKE THIS MEDICATION !!! This was the first time I had been sick in years but got pneunomia with sinus infection and bronchitis. Shoulder pain started on day 4 of medication and continued to get worse. Now is chronic pain and may be facing surgery. This medication should be removed from the market.
