I am a heart transplant patient who developed aspergillosis pnuemonia as well as mucormyosis. The typical treatment was destroying my kidneys. Doctors didn't think I would live 6 months but tried this medication when it was just released from the ADA. that was a year ago and my "spot " in my lungs has all but disapeared and the infectious disease doctors at the University of Michigan are all amaze...
