I wish that putting stars on this med wasn't required, my wife hasn't started it yet. Does any one know why there is a warning about latex for this med.

I just started the pen injections i did four and then will do 2 in two weeks. The pens do sting!!But are easy to use!!I automatically felt drowsy and dizzy and slept for two hours after the treatment then felt a little better.Sinus congestion started and bad headache.I was well aware that these side effects could happen within the first 48 hours.i reccommend two days of rest!!The initial feeling i was instantly so drowsy it felt like i consumed a whole bottle of NyQuil.Im praying that this works in the long run!!Read More Read Less

The initial shots were 4 and then 2 weeks after 2 shots and now its every 2 weeks. Initially I didn't numb the area with an ice pack and it did sting alot, but numbing the area really helps prior to the shot. I have found my arm to be less painful, plus I have a great partner who gives me the shot :) Living with Crohns has been very difficult especially for my partner, but now with Humira we can do all the things I wanted to do but was afraid to do so incase I needed the bathroom... :)Read More Read Less

I've been on Humira for about 1 year and it is working great, no flare ups other than the one I had while I had to be off of it due to Pneumonia (from the medicine), but I'm not hurting and my life is back to as normal as it can be. I was on Remicade for 6 years and it stopped working. It was either this or surgery, so glad it's working!

i have crohn's disease and have had surgery to remove a portion of my small intestine. i have been taking Humira for about 2 years now, the medicine seems to help, or slow down the effects, but i still have frequent bathroom trips and pain in abdomen. also the prefilled pen shots hurt very much!

The reason why there is a latex allergy warning for this med is that the needle cover in the prefilled syringe contains rubber. If the patient has an allergy to latex, this could cause a reaction.

I was on 6mp at first which did not help at all. I started humira, and the first time ever, since I was diagnosed 9yrs , ALL of my labs were within normal limits. I feel that I have more energy and gaining weight. I can no longer eat what ever I want, and have my gut not absorb it. I am very RARELY having cramps, and can eat peanuts, popcorn and the other big no no's. I haven't had my colonoscopy yet to tell me oficially that it is helping, but i think it is.

I have been on this medicine now for nearly two years and although I still hate giving myself a shot every two weeks I have to say it does work VERY WELL. I am nearly symptom free and can eat whatever I want with no backlash! the only thing i struggle with is keeping healthy. being a mom my kids bring home all kinds of "bugs" and i feel like i am always fighting some kind of cold. also to new users. the closer to room temperature the medicine is the less it burns going in...wish i knew that one sooner!Read More Read Less

I am starting the injections tomorrow..I am nervous mostly because they told me I need 6 injections the first day. I have not read any accounts on having to take that many to start. I'm am sick of having to take 9 pills a day for it and hope eventually I wont have to anymore. I will post back after I start taking the injections on a regular basis. I was happy to read some accounts of people having good results from it. I hope I can join you with positive results. Blessed BE!

I have been using Humira for less than a year. At first, I was uncomfortable giving myself and injection. But, in less than a week, I could tell that it was working. When I started, I iced the injection site, but now, I feel no need. If it is hurting, I reposition the needle and/or slow down the injection rate and that usually takes care of the pain or burning. I have had my colon removed because of Crohn's and this is a small price to pay in comparison. I do not regret the surgery, I'm alive, but, I do not want more.Read More Read Less

I take this drug, for psoriasis, chrons, and artritis.. I have tried everything and this drug seems to be working. I'm hoping to kill 3 birds with one stone..I take 1 shot every two weeks.. 40mg, I give it in my arms easier for me, but first i put ice on it and take out of refrig, about 15 min before, no burning when at room temp. I see alot of people take 4 injections why?? can anyone tell me
