Prescribed after trabulectomy with shunt glaucoma surgery to prevent infection. I tolerate zithromax & z-pac well so, I requested my Dr prescribe this particular drop. Prescribed after trabulectomy with shunt glaucoma surgery to prevent infection. I tolerate zithromax & z-pac well so, I requested my Dr prescribe this particular drop. Alot of other types of antibiotic eye drops have serious side effects that I didn't want to have to worry about. So far I have been on this 3 days with a 5 day course of treatment scheduled. The only side effect I notice is that every single time I put the drop in, I immediately start to sneeze ALOT and only the nostril on the same side starts leaking a clear fluid. I do not sneeze the rest of the day-this is definately a result of this eye drop-as it happens only after & immediately after the drop goes in my eye-every single time. I also have to blow my nose 3 or 4 times- then the sneezing/dripping of that nostril stops. A strange but managable symptom that won't make me stop using it! I will update my review after treatment has ended. But so far, so good.
