2nd review. It's now been 1 year take one am with lomotil and 1 pm. Feel great. Emergency situations are gone. predictable rough mornings but once it stops the rest of the day is great. Some minor pains and cramps but the major crippling pain is gone. You have to drink a TON of water and tea but the bonus for me is it causes me to not have to pee as much. I've tried everything else and this is the best.

Abdominal pain, urination frequency, bloating.

I have been on different versions of this drug for years for a spastic colon. It gives almost complete relief from this chronic condition. My concern is the price. It is a generic and has been very inexpensive and all of a sudden it is very expensive and hard to get. I am a mess without it, but it is way overpriced for my fixed income.

I have had a great change to my health. Just got married 1yr. ago, I've been sick for about 1/2 of that, not knowing what is wrong! This medicine worked wonders. I feel about 95% better after 1 week and hoping in time am all back to normal! Also, my Acid Reflux is totally gone! YAY!

I have been drowzy, I'm not sure, but since I have been taking this med. I have experienced low potassium and elevated calcium. Could those be side effects of the Hyomax SR.Could you pleas get back to me and let me know as soon as possible.

Had the worse diarrhea in my life after 3 days of use.

heaviness in chest. being used to slow down adranaline surges i sometimes get which then leads to low bp, passing out, loss of arm movement after coming to.

I STILL HAVE STOMACH CRAMPS REAL BAD

I no longer have watery diarrhea, but I still have occasional abdominal pain after BMs. Also seem to empty more in one sitting than before. But I guess that means it is healthy. Had to change my dosage from two a day to one, due to constipation at first.

This medication has changed my life. I was suffering from severe cramps, bloating and IBS symptoms and this medication literally takes away the bloating and cramping as soon as it starts. It can make you a little drowsy, so using it during the day can be a challenge, but overall this is one of the most effective medications I have ever used.

Levbid was the original drug ordered but was very expensive. Tried Hyomax and got the same great results at a fraction of the cost.

had severenabdominal cramps 6 months doctors ran 10's of thousand in test w/ no results, new doc subscribed hyomax and after 1 dose problem was totally gone. have slight dry mouth, and slight cramping in knees, and feel just a little funny in head, and a surprise effect was that it also stopped my acid reflux in it's tracks. overall happy with results

tigh thogh cant breath cant eat

This drug almost completely took away my nighttime addomen pain allowing me to finally sleep without getting up every 2 hours. I have had little side effects. I have suffered from abdominal pain for 10 years and this is the only thing that has helped it.

My severe IBS has gotten better then it has been in years when combined with lomotil. I do still have some pain but the urgency and severe constant diarreah all day is now limited to the first hour of my day while I am still at home. Much easier to live.

since they discontinued hycosamine and replaced it with hyomax and I have been experiencing extreme gas, bloating and naseau. There is definitely something different about this medication. I took hycosamine for 9 years and switched four weeks ago. I am going to try and stick it out a little longer before I call my doctor.

When I first started taking this medication the results were great and quick. But I am now noticing that it is not as effective as it was when I started it and that was 4 weeks ago. There is some relief but not total which I experienced when I first started using it. The side effect I am experiencing is cotton mouth but it disapates after a few hours of drinking water more often than usual. One thing I can say for sure is that women who suffer from night sweats or hot flashes will find a reduction in frequincy while using this medication. At least I did.Read More Read Less

Using to control bowl movements early in the morning. Works about 90% of te time for me.
