It seemed to make me hold water. My water consumption was reduced, my urine volume was reduced, I gained a couple pounds and my skin became very dry. I stopped the medicqation after about 2 weeks and all of these symptoms went away.

Trilipix (135 mg/day) has been extremely effective for me. I have a very bad reaction to statins -- my thigh muscles become very tight, and pressure on my thighs becomes extremely painful. Without any intervention, my total cholesterol level is about 250, and every doctor I have seen in the past 10 years tell me that fenofibric acid will not be effective -- so we do an ABA test. In the last test, my cholesterol levels went from 150s (with fenofibric acid), to 250s (without any medical intervention), and finally, after 3 months of being on fenofibric acid, 180s. Why do many MDs believe that fenofibric acid is not effective for improving cholesterol outcomes? It is very effective for me.

I didn't know that sleeping problems are a side effect of this medication. After taking it for a month I started having pretty severe insomnia. I did some research that told me it is a possible side effect but not very common. I have stopped the medication and the insomnia is gone.

I took this medicine for a month along with atorvastin and noticed nausea that continued to get worst as well increased hot flashes like my hormones were messed up. I have been off for about a week and both side effects are gone.
